The Ohio TRIO Professional Conference will be held April 4-5, 2019 at the Hyatt-Regency Downtown Columbus.  This conference is specifically designed with the membership in mind, our theme: "Level Up." CALL FOR PROPOSALS
Interested in sharing your best practices with others? We are looking for members and related professionals to share their expertise, knowledge, skill or insights. If you are willing to share what you have found useful with others, be sure to submit a conference proposal. Complete the attached "2019 OH TRIO Call for Proposal" via e-mail to Alisha Durham, Alisha.durham@utoledo.edu, Friday, March 8, 2019.  Presenters will be notified no later than March 15th regarding proposal acceptance.
 
Presentation Modalities:

•    Workshop/Seminar - Alights with the conference theme, is 50-minutes in length, and may be delivered during the morning or afternoon session block.
•  


  •  Information Booth - A visual display of information regarding resources, practices, and/or services.  Provide informational discussion as participants move through the hallways.

CALL FOR AWARD NOMINATIONS
Feel free to nominate outstanding, exemplary OH TRIO personnel for recognition of the great work they do! The 2019 awards include:  

  • Joseph D. Lewis Trailblazer Award – Recognizes individuals who contributed to the foundation of and continued success of the goals and objectives of OH TRIO.  Special consideration is given to those who continue to support these goals and objectives after they are no longer officially affiliated with TRIO.

  • James A. Rankin Award - Recognizes a member of OH TRIO who has gone above and beyond and is given in recognition and appreciation of continued dedication, services, and commitment to minority and disadvantaged youth in the state of Ohio.

  • Louis M. Brownlowe New Professional Award - Recognizes a TRIO Professional (with 1-5 years of professional work in TRIO) who has demonstrated exemplary service to the mission of TRIO programs; this nominee must currently work in OH TRIO.

All nominations must be submitted via email to: Jon-Jama Scott, jon-jama.scott@utoledo.edu no later than Friday, March 8, 2019 utilizing the respective nomination form.  Award winners will be recognized at the President's Banquet, Thursday, April 4, 2019. Do it today! Don’t put off completing your registration, sharing your expertise or nominating TRIO heroes! You are sure to take away some helpful leveling up strategies!
