2020 Ohio TRIO Student Leadership Conference

Mission Possible: Students Today, Leaders Tomorrow

Calling All Change Agents -

The time has come and the system is ready.  Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to register the students and chaperones that will represent your program at the 2020 Ohio TRIO Student Leadership Conference at Deer Creek Lodge in Mt. Sterling, OH from Thursday, February 27 - Saturday, February 29.  You may submit your conference registrations here: www.eoa.org/ohstudentleadership on or before Monday, February 10 (two weeks from today).

During the registration process, you will be asked to submit the following information:

  • One Time Response For Entire Group

    • Chaperone Name

    • Contact Phone Number

    • Institution/Agency

    • Program Type

  • Response For Each Registrant

    • Name for Name Badge

    • Student Grade Level (N/A for Chaperones)

    • Dietary Restrictions

    • T-Shirt Size

When selecting the registration type for each registrant, you must select the registration type that reflects the type of payment you will use.  For example, if you are going to register yourself and 4 students using a credit card, you must select "Ohio TRIO Member (CREDIT CARD)" for you and "Ohio TRIO Student (CREDIT CARD)" for each of the 4 students.  This is to ensure those paying by check are not charged the payment processing fee by the credit card vendor.

If you have not already confirmed your room reservations, please be sure to do so this week as the Ohio TRIO Association Room Block will be released for public booking beginning this Friday and we did run out of rooms last year at Maumee Bay Lodge.  Reservations can be made by calling the Deer Creek Lodge main reservations line at 740-869-2020 or our site coordinator, Stephanie George, at 740-869-6344. Standard Rooms that sleep 2, 4, or 6 people (1 king, 2 queens, or 2 queens & 1 bunk bed) are $119/night and Loft Rooms that sleep 6 or 8 people (2 queens & 2 bunk beds) are $250/night.

As you make your travel arrangements, please keep the following information in mind.  Check-in time on Thursday is 3:00pm with conference registration scheduled to be open from 3:00p-6:00pm.  The conference will begin with dinner and and welcoming remarks promptly at 7:00pm.  Check-out time on Saturday is 12:00pm with closing remarks scheduled to conclude by 11:30am.

Should you have any questions about the conference, please don’t hesitate to contact me ([email protected]), Agent Waters ([email protected]), or Agent Williams ([email protected]) for guidance.  As always, should you or any of your colleagues be caught registering for the conference, the Ohio TRIO Board will have no choice but to deem your mission: complete. This message will auto-archive in your inbox for future reference until deleted.
